Academic Integrity Seminar

Students who have violated the UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship may be assigned to attend the Academic Integrity Seminar to hone their knowledge and skills in ethics and integrity.

Purpose of the seminar:

The purpose of this seminar is to provide students a structured opportunity to learn from their experience, develop their ethical decision-making skills, and learn more about academic integrity and cheating at UCSD.

About the seminar:

  • Undergraduates are assigned to the seminar by their college dean of student affairs; grad students are assigned by the assistant dean of the Graduate Division.
  • Seminars consist of 4 separate large group meetings (30-40 students), one one-on-one meetings with a peer educator and multiple assignments to facilitate your learning
  • Read an Academic Integrity Seminar syllabus (PDF) to learn how the seminar is structured, what you'll learn, and what assignments you'll complete.

Sign up for seminar:

  • Come to the Academic Integrity Office (location) to sign up for seminar. You will have to fill out a short form and a survey, and pay $75 (or $100 if you missed your registration deadline) by cash or check (pay to the order of UC Regents).
  • If you are out of town and unable to come to the Academic Integrity Office, e-mail about your situation, and we can e-mail you the forms. You can fill out those forms and mail us your forms along with your payment:
