There are many things that you can do to prevent cheating and plagiarism (integrity violations) on assessments. By setting your classroom up to promote integrity, you can discourage cheating behaviors. Check out the different ways to do this:
- Use the Triton Testing Center's services
- Use Turnitin for written assignments
- Clearly define assignment policies and exam rules
- Establish a regrade policy
- Assigning Seats for in-class assessments

A Special Note about Remote, Asynchronous Assessments
We don't recommend online/remote asynchronous assessments if they are meant to be "summative", that is to validate a student's achievement of learning outcomes for the purpose of passing the course. Such assessments are too easy to invalidate with contract cheating providers and Generative Artificial Intelligence.
If for some reason you must use remote/asynchronous assessments, check out your Proctoring Options
