We are open during normal university business hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time). You are welcome to email us with your questions, or visit us in person or virtually.

Given our hybrid work schedule for our career staff, if you are a faculty member or IA who has a question, it's best to email so we can direct you to the appropriate staff member. We appreciate your flexibility. 


When emailing our office, please provide your full name, and if applicable, your student ID number and case number.

Virtual Front Desk

You can visit us at our Virtual Front Desk (“VFD”) via Zoom. To enter our VFD, you must be signed into your UC San Diego Zoom account to enable you as an "authenticated" user.

Note: Our staff are not always or even regularly available for drop-ins, so we recommend making an appointment instead.

Things to Remember

  • If you encounter any difficulties while accessing the Virtual Front Desk, please email as soon as possible to explain your situation and we will do our best to help you resolve them.
  • Be prepared with your student ID card to verify your identity, and make sure that you have enabled both your audio and video settings. If you do not have a working webcam on your computer, you can also download Zoom on a smartphone or any other mobile device with a camera.
