UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship

Policy on Integrity of Scholarship

The UC San Diego Senate Policy on Integrity of Scholarship (Academic Integrity Policy) is effective as of September 23rd, 2019 and applies to any cases originating on or after September 23rd, 2019.

The University expects both faculty and students to honor the Policy. For students, this means that all academic work will be done by the individual to whom it's assigned, without unauthorized aid of any kind. If violations of academic integrity occur, the same Sanctioning Guidelines apply regardless of which Policy was effective for that case.

For more infomation on how the Policy is implemented, refer to the Procedures that apply to you.

Which Procedures Apply to Me?

If you have an outstanding case from the 2019-2020 academic year,  you will still follow the 2019-2020 Procedures unless you agree to follow the updated Procedures instead if offered by the Academic Integrity Office.

If your case occurred after September 2020, then these are the Procedures that apply to you (updated September 2020).
