Integrity Awareness Week 2021

Every year, the UC San Diego Academic Integrity Office organizes and highlights events, workshops, and resources with the goal of bringing awareness to integrity during Integrity Awareness Week (IAW). This year, Integrity Awareness Week will be held from October 18-22, 2021 to coincide with the International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating (October 20).

Participate in the 6th Annual Day Against Contract Cheating

The 6th Annual International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating (IDOA), sponsored by the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI), occurs on October 20th, 2021.

Contract cheating is the act of a student arranging for someone else to complete, in part or total, an assessment assigned to the student. Contract Cheating includes posting exam and assignment questions to Chegg and other "homework help sites" to receive solutions. Contract Cheating is the most egregious form of cheating and the number of students engaging in it has grown since the pandemic.

To learn more about why Contract Cheating is dangerous to higher education and to its students, you can:

  1. Attend a Live Broadcast of a global group of students speaking out against Contract Cheating.

  2. Attend a Live Broadcase of a group of experts talking about detecting and preventing Contract Cheating.

To actively participate in the Day of Action, you can:

  1. Create a meme and submit it for a chance to win a prize!

  2. Pledge your commitment to be a force for change AGAINST the Contract Cheating Industry.

  3. Download and share the Beware of Toxic "Help" handout
