Integrity Tutorial FAQ

All incoming students are required to complete the Integrity Tutorial web-based training in Canvas within their first quarter of enrolment. The Tutorial can be found on Canvas. Students can log in to Canvas using their student Single Sign-On (SSO).

Who is required to complete the Integrity Tutorial?

All new incoming students are required to complete the Integrity Tutorial. This includes all undergraduates, transfers, and select graduate programs.

Where do I find the Integrity Tutorial?

Each student is automatically enrolled into the Integrity Tutorial on Canvas. Please navigate to your Canvas home page to find the Integrity Tutorial, titled “Integrity Tutorial – Cohort #”.

What if I cannot find the Integrity Tutorial?

If you are unable to locate the Integrity Tutorial course on your Canvas home page, please self-enroll in this Canvas course.

How do I successfully complete the Integrity Tutorial?

To complete the Integrity Tutorial and avoid a hold, a score of 21/21 (100%) must be achieved. Please be sure to check that you received a full score if a hold has not lifted.

When is the Integrity Tutorial due?

The Tutorial must be completed by November 9th, 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

What happens if I do not complete the Integrity Tutorial by the deadline?

A hold will be placed on your account, preventing you from dropping or adding classes for the following quarter. A hold may also interfere with financial aid, housing, etc.

I have just completed the Tutorial. How long will it take for the hold to lift?

While most holds lift immediately, in some cases they may take up to two business days to lift.

I have already completed the Integrity Tutorial over the summer or prior year— do I need to complete it again?

If you have completed the Integrity Tutorial prior to the Fall Quarter as part of a summer program like Summer Bridge, you do not need to complete the Tutorial again.

Please email integrity@ucsd.edu to confirm that you do not need to complete the Tutorial again.

I have already completed the Integrity Tutorial, but I still received an email or hold on my account.

First, please confirm that you have received a 21/21 (100%) score in the course. If you have not, please do so!

If you have received a full score and have still received an email notification or hold, please email us at integrity@ucsd.edu.

I cannot progress in the course, what do I do?

Please make sure you are marking each page as completed. You can do so at the bottom of most pages, with the “Mark as Complete” button.

Next, try completing the Tutorial in a different browser or on a different device. Mobile devices like phones and tablets have known for not displaying the "Mark as Complete" button on the bottom of the page.

Clearing your cache or cookies may also resolve this issue.
